GEN 2 - General - RS232

CLI access over RS232 TTL

When access to the Master controller is required over CLI, the Master CLI TTL connector can be used. Please note that the Master CLI RS232 connector does not work so the Master CLI TTL connector must be used. The voltages accepted by the CLI TTL connector are maximum 5V so an appropriate cable (like USB cable TTL-232R-3V3) must be used and connected as shown below.

Baudrate 115200, 8 databits, 1 stopbit, no parity, no flow control

Please remove Jumper J1 and J2 (which disconnects the RS232 communication channel between the Master controller and the Gateway Controller) before using the TTL-232R-3V3 cable.

RS232 for other purposes

Connectors for UART (UART1 and UART2) can be used for multiple purposes. Those connectors work at RS232 voltage levels and will never use any hardware flow control.

Below, you can find the connector pin-out.
